make a full template of the door and where the hinges are. Sort of like you use when your putting in a door knob in a door that has not been drilled for a knob yet. You could probably use a thin piece of card board for your template Then transfer the template to the edge where you need to put your hinges. That's the first time I have seen a truck that a carpenter can work on, pretty cool.
