For the future, remove the inspection cover around the clutch. Turn flywheel with screwdriver until you can see the ball and lines clockwise on the flywheel. Clean them good and put a small dab of white paint on the ball and first line clockwise. Turn engine by hand over till rotor points to #1 pulg and see if it lines up on the ball or first line. Thats where most of them time best too. Depends upon which Motors manual you read and internal modifications.
