It is likely an aftermarket unit. Most heaters back at that time were available from aftermarket sellers, (Sears, Wards, local auto dealers. etc.) and tire dealers. It is a pretty sure bet that Goodrich did not make the heater and it may in fact be the same as some of the other brands available. Up into the fifties there was a heater delete option and radios were not supplied as standard either. How things have changed. Now you must purchase an entire option group to get the one or two items you really want.
