For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 124 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 124 | if have been working on resolving this issue with my brakes. 1954 3600. when i back up the and apply the brakes the pedal goes stiff. if i drive forward and apply the brakes it returns to normal.
i think the allignment between the brake cylendar piston and the rod with the slot on the end is getting out of whack so the return spring is not able to compress the piston back into the cylendar. the cylendar is in decent shape. i recently honed and rebuilt it. most everything else has been replaced or rebuilt.
has anyone had a simmilar issue or an idea as to why the alignment of that slotted rod would get funky. | | |
