I purchased a T5 out of a V8 86 Camaro with a speedo cable & than purchased just the S-10 tail piece to change the gear shift location to fit behind a V8 in my 38 truck. My question is how to I change the location of the speedo gear & mount on the tail shaft in the correct location? There is a flat spot on the tail shaft but no holes or clip grooves. The gear also has a larger ID than the shaft OD. I think I can add shim stock to make up the distance but how do I mount the gear? & what about balance
