its very possible. When I first got my truck it had not ran in 12 years. When I tryed to turn it over it hit the valve. Turned out there was a valve stuck in the open position. So I replaced the valve springs, Vlave seals and cleaned up the stuck valve. But most likely I will replace them later on. Not gonna heart it so Ill leave it for now. You could have a bad valve seal causing smoke. Vlave springs are $1.70 each on www.rockauto.com Cheapest you will find anywere.
