The canned ham pumps run mostly through the 1970s. In 1976 or 1977, GM went metric on their fittings, so you'll have to match the hoses to whatever box you are using. Just worry about the pressure side. Use the fitting that is on the pump for the return.
Use some type of clamping arrangement to keep the hoses from rubbing on anything. If you stay with GM stuff everything works, unlike adapting other brands of pump.
