OK, so I am going to design a 3/4" copper compressed air manifold for my shop in preparation for both a blasting cabinet for smaller parts and a pressurized system for outdoor blasting.
Regarding expansive cooling for moisture seperation, I am thinking of making a 8' long zig-zag type setup in which a 3/4" line starts close to the ceiling with a slight pitch, then 180 degrees to reverse direction with an immediate increase to 1" copper for 8', another 180 degrees to reverse direction and one more increase to 1-1/2" for another 8'...and then a "T" with a trap and drain and return to 3/4" for the rest of the piping system.
The whole concept is essentially 2 increases in volume for 2 seperate expansive cooling sequences. Is my thinking on the right track? Is it overkill? Will 1 increase in pipe diameter be sufficient for adequate expansive cooling?
Any inputs would be appreciated?!!
