I recently had a similar problem with a 235 in a 56 Car. It idled great but ran badly off idle and under power. I double checked the float level to specs but it made no difference. I finally tried experimenting with the float level and got it right but it is nowhere near what the specifications called for. Sometimes these things have a mind of their own. Fred
