Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have searched but cannot find specific answers. I'm trying to install new e-brake cables on my '53 3100 but having issues. First, I cannot see how the insulated part of the cable can fit into the bracket on the frame. The original cable has a groove that fit in the bracket, the new ones do not:
Bracket1 Bracket2 Original Second, the plates that mount on the brake backer plate do not mate up, due to one is crimped on the outer insulater and the other is stopped by the end cap:
