On the frame brackets you gotta take a wedge I used a big screwdriver and nice and easy drove it into the slot to widen the hole till the new cable fit into it than installed the cable end so it was flush with the bracket.
The part that goes into the brake plate will fit it does not look like it but once you get it in place and start the bolts it will pull the cable into alignment with the em. brake lever I looked at it for some time to when I did mine on my 52-3100.
