Lenny, I checked my assembly manual and it does show the front fender brace at the rear of the front fender at the cowling. I was WRONG ABOVE about it fastening to the Chassis.
It does fasten to the lower lip of the fender but goes what looks like Vettical...then against an anti-squeak pad then put the bolt through it.
