If the alternator will use a 3/8" belt, a 53-54 235 water pump, fan, and crankshaft pulley should be used. At least that is what I am planning to use on my 1959 261. I am currently using that same arrangement on the 1954 261 in my street rod, but it does need the water pump adapter. I'm using the alternator bracket from Patrick's.
