Huh, starting to wonder if I made a boo-boo yanking that thing out (spring was broken anyway). Thought it was just some pollution control device. I did install the solid gasket that came with the kit that totally covers the square'ish hole in the bottom of the intake manifold.

Anyone really notice a difference in warm climates (Houston) without one or one stuck open?
