Hello all, this is not a for sale listing but a question for the burb/panel people. I have a 59 long fleetside I am working on and have found after stripping one the the bed sides it is rittled with large pin holes all over the "spear" shape on the sides and where the inner meets the outer bed above the "spear" and also the inner bed panels need replaced. I have not stripped the other bed side but have investigated it from the back side and it is going to be the same. The outer wheel wells are solid as well as behind and in front of the wheel well. They are rusted at the very front corner which would be cut off anyhow if used for patch panels. My question is would these make good patch panels for a burb/panel. I am going to look at another fleetside truck on Saturday and if I get it I am not going to use this bed on my truck. I have considerd mudding it back up and using it for a trailer but not sure or if it is of grater value for someone to get their burb/panel back together I would rather see it used for that. I did not realize the bed was that bad since it looked ok when I bought the truck.
