So last weekend we came accross a 1954 3100 for $400. All there down to the keys and sun visors, but no engine. Now we are wondering what engine to put back in it. The torque tube is there and the 3 speed on the tree is there just no bellhousing or engine. Was thinking of a mid '60's 283 or 250 from a '73 nova and I think with the right bell we can use the original trans. Want to keep it somewhat original but want it to be reliable. Any thoughts
