Back in 1963 I bought a rebuilt 216 from "Monkey Wards" and installed it in my 37 Chevrolet coupe. Sears also sold them at that time. I was just a kid and after installing it and starting it up, found that it had a cracked block!! What a let down. I had to pull it out and deliver it back to Wards for inspection before they would ship out another one. The second engine worked fine, but all of that down time sure cut into my dating schedule.
