Yes, it is a dual in, dual out, no mixing. I was told it had a built in crossover by someone who didn't know. I could clearly see it was 2 separate mufflers in one housing when I got the muffler. It was made by Bazani. It will last a lifetime - at least mine.
I had that "popping" sound during deceleration at first and I thought it was supposed to sound like that. Then my neighbor discovered that I'd left out the insulator gaskets when I replaced the carb. Now it's way smooth, no coughing and sputtering. A nice, clean and deep mellow sound. Quiet at lower RPMs.
