| | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 | Now Jerry I’ve been around engines laying in pieces for 68 years and that’s the first time I’ve heard of that trick, great idea. A few minutes on the lathe and I’ll have a new tip for my slide hammer. Before I took my short block up to the engine shop I tried to figure a good way to get it out with out destroying it. Back in the day we would just yank them out and then when we stopped by the Chevy parts department we would have them throw one in with the other parts for our rebuild.
