Now that’s one I didn’t think of Vern, I’ll add that to the list of considerations, tks.
I don’t have the rust to contend with so I might be able to cut the spot welds and break the upper lead seam. Probably won’t get to it till next year some time. I still have a ’50 to finish up. In the mean time I’m gonna rebend the upper hinge to give me clearance and live with it. I have a lot of dings and dents to take out so I’ll get it figured out by the time I’m ready to get the hammer and dolly out.
