aaahh - year does make the difference ... the wavey washer is a spacer, the ears are the shift levers, the housing is a mast jacket - the 60-66 factory assembly manual may have some breakdowns, the shop manual should have some info on adjustment and may have external column pics that could help ... might easier find someone with good info in the 60's forum
