It's available in amp capacities from about 55 to 100+ depending on the donor vehicle. It's slightly larger in diameter than the external regulated alternator, but a simple tensioner bracket change is usually all that's needed to make the swap. Wiring is ridiculously easy- - - -just install the same battery wire you took off the original alternator,and install a jumper wire from that terminal to the wire terminal marked #2 on the side of the alternator. If you want to use a dash-mounted idiot light, find the original wire from the dash that makes the idiot light illuminate when you ground it, and attach that one to the terminal marked #1. Cut away and tape any leftover wires, including the connector to the original regulator, and drive on! Jerry
