Your the 1st to ask me that, Denny. A 5/8 ton is what i am planning to make eventually because i am 6' 7" tall and trying to fit comfortably in an ad truck with stock seat and steering is next to impossible.
I was planning to take a 3/4 ton frame, which is 9 1/4" longer than a 1/2 ton, and stretch the cab 6" so i fit comfortably. Using a 1/2 ton bed, and modified 3/4 ton rear frame rails which would be shortened 3 1/4" and widened to accept the 1/2 ton bed mounts. My cab stretch will be in the door so i do not have the look of a stretched cab at first glance with an extra door or window behind the factory door like most stretched cabs i have seen. Aslo thought about making tje rear window larger so it would give a chop top look with longer door glass. Just an idea floating around in my head.
