I'm with Yaki. The joints must be binding. You need to lube the joints & work them a bit to free them up. I put some repo's on my 58. I had to elongate the holes some to get the back of the hood down far enough & i changed the weatherstrip on the cowl to something softer. It works & fit's real good now.
