What happens if you operate the hinges without the springs? Did you open and close hinge while removed? Some repop parts are junk! Any possibility they're mounted wrong? Have you lubed/greased them? Often new parts have to be "worked" to get them to loosen up. Hope something here helps. Let us know how it turns out.
