Your best bet if you're looking for more speed would be to focus on the rear end gearing first. In most cases that would be the easyest and least expensive place to start. If that doesn't get you on the autobahn then you might look into converting to one of the five speed transmissions like a T5 manufactured by Borg Warner Automotive.
