I would pull the transmission like Tyler said. Get 2 bolts the same size as the mounting bolts and cut them off to use as guide pins in the top holes after removing the top bolts. I used a reciprocating saw with a metal blade. Then remove the bottom 2 mounting bolts and slide the puppy back with your jack underneath. It is heavy. You need to make sure it doesn't roll off the jack. I made a wooden tray with side bars. You can get the cork seal for the front of the shaft from NAPA along with the flange gaskets. There is a proc in the book for checking tightness of the front shaft to the transmission.
