Help!! I'm installing new glass and rubber on a 1952 3100 5-window. I ordered the rubber & chrome kit for the back and corners. So far, so good, right?... Yesterday, a fellow "Truck" guy started installing the glass for me (I was at work). Problems :-(
The rubber "tore" as he was installing it and he went downtown and picked up "other rubber" to use. The rubber is narrower than what I had ordered and it doesn't cover the spot welds very good, the seam in the corner windows are at the bottom center so they don't lay flat :-(
I'm going to have to remove and replace the rubber. The question is.... where is the BEST place to purchase the rubber?? And does anyone know the width of the original rubber (mine did not have any glass or rubber when I got the cab).
