Redtruck,. the best way to tone down an exhaust imho, would be to swap out the mufflers. You are probably running 2 chamber Flowmasters or some other brand that makes the exhaust gas pulses ring out! My 69 Camaro has the 2-chamber Flowmasters and I probably should have went with 3 chambers or some other type alltogether... I don't know of a good way to tone down without physically changing the mufflers out. Maybe someone else with good info can chime in...
