| | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 171 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 171 | yeah i'm sure glad i've never had to do that! they've all been scrapped now, but here in AR all kinds of old chevys were used to haul pulp wood. these guys weren't rich anyway & they used what they had or could get for little or nothing. i've seen 1/2 ton trucks with 1 ton or larger rearend/chassis welded on. often these guys were in the salvage bisuness too. my dad & i stopped at a yard one time & they were putting a 440 dodge eng. in an IH truck for pulp wood use!
