Back in the 60's I cut my share of "short stick" pulpwood and have been around it since I was a little kid. I have seen MANY trucks STRETCHED to haul a longer load while some guys working by themselves would prefer to cut the chassis and only haul a couple cord at a time. More research may reveal what your truck started out as.....but not necessarily what you have now.
Whew, the thoughts of loading pulpwood (by hand like the old days) makes my back really hurt! The really funny thing is both my trucks 55 1st 3/4 and now a 54 "1ton" were used to haul pulpwood with the PO. Although my 3/4 had just a 1/2 inch plate welded in bed to do the job. Kenny Broomfield | | |
