I started out with black mirror mounts...but just do not think it looks good...going to go to chrome...was mounting the outside door handle today and chipped a nice big half dollar size chip of paint...great fun
Always a good idea when drilling on painted surfaces to cover the work area with painters tape,the blue or green tape and mark and drill through that.
