I have a 1951 1/2-ton Chevrolet Pickup, and want to put a foot operated E-Brake in the original location. And also the cable set-up, length and routing...of how to do it.
About 31-years ago, I cut the original out, because it was rusted out, in that area of the floor. I installed sheet metal where the original E-Brake was. I have a 350 in it, with a Muncie 4-speed. The rear end is different also.
But this is something that I've always wanted to do. Installing an E-Brake, and not the original stuff either. Could somebody please give me some tech-tips on HOW TO DO this foot set-up, and what all do I need to do this project...cables, rods, and length to both rear wheels?
Any information help would be appreciated.
Thanks, JEFF
