I think Squeeze is closer unless it was some form of clip in one form or the other, like on the backside just like normal car door panels or for that matter the firewall. However this would mean holes where made in the metal panels to accommodate the clips.
I don't think there was screws through the fabric, that would mean a washer protecting the fabric otherwise it would tear. I don't see that in the picture but that could be that its black and the screw is placed so it's not visible due to that.
Well unless somebody with an original delux will tell us we will not really know
. Reason I'm asking is that I want (will maybe) continue the "delux" fabric door panel the whole way back in the Burb I'm doing up. Since there is access panels in that location I need to do some sort of screw or clip solution and I just wanted to make it looking more original hence my question how was it made on the pickup...
