I'm not sure what option those panels were part of, but there was a number of upscale interior options and different "packages" of them .... there were at least 2 "cab" packages, "custom cab", and "deluxe cab", + separate interior packages
the reason I think they were glued on is, being the same fabric as those seats it'd be tough enough to glue well - also if you look at that raised rib on the sheet metal panel, any stiffner worth using for a clip-on deal would bring the fabric up too much, hafta be specially shaped around the edge to fit the bevel of the ridge or stick out above it
not sure the door panel insert area would line up well enough with anything down the rear sidewalls to look good with just a strip that high to the back, but if the whole lower wall was done it might work .... and covering those access panels wouldn't matter, bartamos will tell ya, they're useless
