I put the restrictor on the "back" side of the tubing adaptor. The oil filter adapter had 3/8 pipe threads for the inlet/outlet. I used brass tubing adapters to connect to the flared lines. IIRC, both the hard lines and the tubing sadapters came from NAPA. On the back side of the outlet fitting I installed a 1/8" pipe plug with a 1/16" hole drilled in it. Here's a pic .
