Looks like the latches are the same on a 55-57 Chevy and Pontiac station wagon.. Here is a pic from a
ebay auction (pic is saved for future reference).
However the
handle is not the same. The handle case (or what ever you should call the lower part that the handle is rotating in) is too tall and it's also has holes for screws. This parts is much lower on a truck tailgate, and it's screwed from the inside. I have however no doubt that you can use this handle with small mod of how it's attached.
I don't know how correct the rod
actuators are but I'm pretty sure you can use those too. Note, that a Nomad has different actuators since it doesn't have a real turning handle but a more of a door style handle and push button.
NOTE: I can't warrant that the above is 100% correct. I'm just looking at the pics and I don't have access to a 55-57 Chevy stationwagon, but it looks good.
