not so! just have owned and parted more than my share because others didn't hold up their end
the "3rd brake light" style was a hold over from the 47-54 trucks, which didn't have the 2 outer "fender mount" brake lights, used until the end of the 56 run, then the small license only light was
used 57-59 .... the housing nub and glass is identical to
the one used on '39 cars, although I don't think the glass is reproduced for that either [might watch for a shot glass the right size tho
