Your truck should weigh about 3,500 pounds, give or take. I have a similar vintage. Regular car ramps will work just fine.
And your big block Chevy actually weighs almost exactly the same as a stovebolt 6 does, maybe even 20 lbs lighter than the stovebolt...believe it or not. So you really aren't any heavier than a stock truck.
Now, my all-iron 350 weighs about 120 pounds less than a stovebolt engine, so my weight would come in at about 3380 lbs.
It's a good motor, but I'll bet it doesn't feel near as nice as your 454!
