Folks -
Well, some additional inspection - the truck is, apparently, a one ton. The wheelbase is 137"; it has 8 lug axles front and rear. The trim says 3100.
I can't find any references for the casting numbers on the engine block or head, or for the engine serial number. I know it's a 235, but don't know of what era.
The fuel pump is kaput - I replaced the valve diaphragm - it had a hole in it... but it's still not pumping properly - also the carb is leaking fuel. That being said, we did have it running for a couple of minutes. No ominous sounds and the oil pressure popped right up, which is encouraging.
