look for date codes, not casting numbers, those covered a range of years
no number on the pad by the dist likely means it was rebuilt, why worry? do you really think that a 53 year old truck has never had any engine work? .... that makes it not worth keeping original?
don't know of any info available on the trim #'s, but the 761 is cardinal red - not a 2 tone, but trim color would be bombay ivory
