I have a Campbell Hausfield MIG welder, it has been working very well for me with Flux Core but, today I thought if it works this well with Flux Core imagine how well it would work with gas. Man, was I disappointed. I went to the local welding supply and they set me up with some C25 and .030 wire. I set the welder up as directed in the manual and began welding. I tried every adjustment on the machine with no luck. It was EXTREMELY disappointing. I switched back to Flux Core and wonder why I even wasted the time or the money.
The main issues I had was poor penetration and weld beading up. It would often leave a big bead on the end of my wire. There was no bacon sizzle noise and often sounded like arcing.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
