The area near the steering box looks to be a factory stamping. no hammer marks and it is perfectly uniform. all the frames I have seen have the two holes where the 6 cylinder mounts would go through the cross member. I did see a 348 one time that had a center front mounting bracket but it was not in anything so I do not know what it was out of.
