They are side shifting transmissions, so you may be able to manipulate the "Hurst-like" linkage to get the shifter in the proper location. Only 6th gear is overdrive on these transmisions. 1- 5 gear ratios should be close ratio, similar to what is available on the Richmond 5 speeds.
Of course the Physical characteristics of transmissions are important towards selecting the appropriate transmision for a swap, as well as gear ratios, and the kind of HP and torque the transmissions can handel.
