In looking closer, the firewall has some original paint on it. It is a deep olive green. It has a governer between intake and carb. There is a box on the firewall, with leads to the generator, that has a voltage adjustment (+/- 4vDC) and a button that says "push to polarize before starting". Perhaps an adjustable voltage regulator? I also found an old regestration under the seat that says it was ran by "Point Ranch" out of Bridgeport, CA in 1969. If this is an old military truck, Id be pretty stoked. Ill have fun taking it back to olive drab and playing with it.
