Someone had some questions about a '41-'46 CC 400 series truck on the website,
www.oldgmctrucks.com not long ago. You might want to check out the discussion board there also. I believe it would indeed be a military version, by it being a Heavy 400 series 2 1/2 ton truck, & only having a gvw of 15000lb.'s. Civilian trucks having a 15000lb. gvw, would normally be of the 1 1/2 ton 300 series. the military usually spec'd everything on the light side.
