There were a wide variety of types and brands of filters and a variety of attachment brackets. Are you trying to get the bracket (and both mounting u-bolts) to the rear of the horn boss (forward of the carb)? You'll see from this diagram that the bracket/bolts "straddle" the horn boss (and are positioned as far to the rear as possible). More location-instructions for another assembly. | | |
