Well.....with full disclosure about my Rochester's... I had them rebuilt as a pair and de-tuned them with the next size smaller main jets; just so that when at idle; things didn't "load" up. So...when I need choke, I do need it at start up and run at my climate. The bad news is that no-one seems to know where a "split" cable system is available. Good news...I built my own today and it works just fine and my 235 is one happy power plant! It doesn't load up and it responds just as it did when running the stock single carb. system. P.S. I also rebuilt the engine and put in a 3/4 mild cam which may have put new demands on the "breathing"?? ( also w/split exhaust) Thanks for the advice. I'm guilty in not sharing all my "variables".
