I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a 1949 3100 truck. Numbers are as follows. Engine serial #LAQ276I65. Engine casting #3701481. Head casting #3701887. I think I have figured out this is a 235 c.i. with a 1953 head on a 1954 block. Is this a babbit engine or not? Can anyone verify and maybe tell me more info? Thanks for the help! | | |
