Thanks Wrenchbender. I feel better knowing that at least there is no pushrod! lol! I suppose I could have bought a defective pump. I'll pull it off and see if I can feel the lobe with my finger for any groves or excessive wear. I guess it is a good idea to go ahead and check to see if I have the proper flow too...pressure and suction on the correct sides of the pump.
